State of New York Office of Mental Health, serves families at
various stages of life. Ackerman provides training programs for
mental health professionals and conducts research to develop new
treatment models and techniques. Through treatment, training, and
research, the Institute supports families and healthcare
professionals while contributing to community and healthcare
organizations with pioneering approaches. Role Description The
Fee-for-Service Clinical Supervisor provides clinical supervision
services exclusively and does not maintain a therapy caseload under
this role. Supervision is provided to assigned therapists,
trainees, or limited permit holders in accordance with: New York
State licensure requirements OMH Article 31 standards OMIG and
Medicaid compliance expectations Ackerman Institute supervision
policies This is a supervision-only, productivity-based role.
Compensation is provided per approved supervision hour as an
all-inclusive rate, which includes all preparation, documentation,
and related administrative responsibilities associated with that
supervision session. This role operates within a regulated
healthcare environment and requires adherence to OMH, OMIG,
Medicaid, HIPAA, and Ackerman Institute clinical and documentation
standards. If a Clinical Supervisor provides direct psychotherapy
services, they must sign the separate Fee-for-Service Clinic
Therapist Job Description for those services. Essential Job
Functions: Primary responsibilities include: Clinical Supervision
Provide individual, dyadic, and/or group clinical supervision to
assigned supervisees. Ensure supervision meets New York State
licensing requirements for: LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, Licensed
Psychologist, Limited permit holders, Behavioral health trainees
Review clinical documentation, treatment planning, risk management,
and adherence to Article 31 standards. Support supervisees in
ethical decision-making, documentation quality, diagnostic
accuracy, and culturally responsive care. Monitor supervisee
compliance with OMH, OMIG, Medicaid, and agency standards. Provide
guidance related to telehealth documentation and regulatory
requirements. Documentation & Compliance Document all supervision
sessions in Welligent using designated supervision codes and
formats. Ensure supervision notes are completed accurately and
timely. Confirm supervisees are meeting documentation and
compliance standards. Immediately escalate clinical or compliance
concerns to Clinical Leadership. Administrative Responsibilities
Submit supervision hours through the Payment Request Form in
accordance with agency timelines. Participate in required
supervisor meetings as assigned. Maintain professional licensure in
good standing. Complete required agency trainings related to
compliance, supervision standards, privacy, and OMH regulations.
Professional Conduct Model ethical, inclusive, and culturally
responsive clinical leadership. Maintain confidentiality in
accordance with HIPAA and OMH standards. Demonstrate sufficient
technological proficiency to navigate Welligent and secure video
platforms Qualifications: Must hold a current and valid independent
license to practice mental health in the State of New York (LCSW,
LMFT, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist, or MD). Must meet New York State
supervision eligibility requirements. Minimum of two (2) years
post-licensure clinical experience preferred. Demonstrated
knowledge of OMH Article 31 documentation and regulatory
requirements strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills and
attention to detail. Commitment to Ackerman Institute values of

Office Suite and electronic health records. Work Environment: This
position may be hybrid (remote and/or in-person supervision),
consistent with agency policy and supervision needs. This position

access to a private and confidential space if conducting remote
supervision. Compensation: Supervision Services Supervisors are
compensated at an all-inclusive rate of $100.00 per hour for
approved supervision services. This is an all-inclusive supervision
rate intended to fully compensate for: Preparation time Direct
supervision Supervisor Notes (Individual and Group) Required
follow-up communication Supervision hours must be: Pre-approved by
Clinical Leadership Provided in accordance with NYS licensure
requirements Properly documented in Welligent Submitted through the
Payment Request Form Submitted within thirty (30) days of the
supervision date Only authorized, documented, and approved
supervision hours are eligible for payment. Informal consultation
or peer support is not compensated. Administrative, Supervision,
and Training Time Required non-billable work — including review of
supervisee documentation (e.g., session notes and encounter forms),
required training, required meetings, and approved project-based
administrative activities (if applicable)— is compensated at the
non-billable administrative rate of $35.00 per hour. Role
Delineation This position is strictly a supervision-only role. If
the individual also provides psychotherapy services under the
Institute’s Article 31 license, they must execute the separate
Fee-for-Service Clinic Therapist Job Description and will be
compensated under the therapist rate structure for those services.
Authorization and Documentation of Time All supervision services
must be documented in Welligent using designated supervision forms
and submitted through the Payment Request Form in accordance with
agency policy. Payment requests submitted more than thirty (30)
days after the supervision date are not eligible for payment.
