    Ocean Spray is a vibrant agricultural cooperative owned by more than 700 cranberry farmers in the United States, Canada, and Chile, who have helped preserve the family farming way of life for generations.     The Lehigh Valley facility is located in Breinigsville, PA, and is actively seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our team. This 300,000 square foot plant has (4) production lines and can produce up to 40 million cases per year. This volume represents more than 45% of Ocean Spray's North American volume and is operated with a workforce of approximately 200 employees.

    Job Summary:

    The primary responsibilities of this position are to proficiently perform the duties associated with the maintenance of the plant production. To ensure the effective operation of production equipment related to electrical processes, electronic systems, and mechanical functions that include installation, changeovers, and repairs. All activities are related to processing, packaging or support equipment toward the optimization of quality, productivity, safety and the reliability plan.

    Other duties and responsibilities of this position include routine maintenance, lubrication, quality checks, size changeovers, data collection and/or data entry, interface with production scheduling, inventory control, measurements and control of processes, and active participation in the team process through cooperation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement as well as any other duties assigned to support the needs of the business.

    Comply with all quality, safety, attendance, and work-rule requirements. Will perform other duties including, but not limited to, re-work, hand stacking, cleaning, painting, sweeping, shoveling, and garbage clean up.

    Due to the nature of this position, moderate physical activity is required, and employees may be required to frequently lift full cases of juice products in certain positions.

    The primary responsibilities of this position are to:
    • Interfaces with production scheduling and inventory control.
    • Performs measurement control of Maintenance production process.
    • Perform regular and preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance on equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime.
      • Supports line operations, assisting with problems on the line, rework, coverage, troubleshooting, and line relief as needed.
      • Answers line calls and supports operators.
      • Supports changeovers to ensure that they are performed in an efficient and timely manner.
      • Train operators and other mechanics in all aspects of electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and operation.
      • Trained in following LOTO (Lock-out/Tag-out) procedures.
      • Rebuilds parts, fabricate materials, and updates prints to maintain and upgrade equipment as required.
      • Takes corrective action as required by initiated work orders through the Maximo System or as circumstances dictate and write new work orders to account for unplanned corrective maintenance time.
      • Interprets blueprints, schematics, ladder diagrams, and exploded parts diagrams.
      • Initiates purchase of required tools, parts, and materials and maintains accountability for tools issued.
      • Uses proper lock-out/tag-out, confined space, and hot works permit to maintain a safe environment and comply with EHS regulatory procedures.
      • Makes recommendations for equipment upgrades and modifications, as well as electrical, mechanical, and electronics safety procedures.
      • Upgrades skills and knowledge as equipment and technology development.
      • Performs Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and deep cleans.
      • Maintains an even flow of production.
      • Ensures adherence to the NEC (National Electric Code) and the NFPA code in all work performed.
      • Works with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controls) and ladder logic.
      • Keeps area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
      • Requires a valid fork truck license and the completion of routine maintenance checks and enter a record of necessary equipment repairs into a maintenance log.
      • Safely and competently operates forklifts, scissor lifts, and walk-behind lifts (certification required).
      • May be required to work outside or may be assigned to work in the freezer.
      • Completes all paperwork as required.
      • Other duties as assigned.

            • Bottling and manufacturing experience, a plus
            • High school diploma or equivalency
