JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are currently hiring a Packaging Operator in Breinigsville, PAAs a Packaging Operator, you will receive cross-training in multiple areas of the Packaging Department and become proficient in operating all equipment within your assigned work area.What You'll Brew:Must be able to work with a team-oriented, "Safety First" approachSafely and efficiently operate Packaging Department equipment/machinery as assigned to meet department/brewery goalsIncluding but not limited to; Filler, Labeler, Box Maker, Packer, etc.Perform Quality checks, testing, and complete paperwork as requiredConduct proper sanitation duties. Involving the complete cleaning of all the equipment within the facilityFoaming equipment, hoses, brooms, shovels, brushes, scrapers, squeegees, and the numerous chemicals that are necessary to sanitize the designated siteHave a functional understanding of computer systems and automated equipment in order to input data as requiredCommunicate with coworkers through various channels, including, but not limited to face to face interactions, brewery phones, and radiosWork autonomously to perform operational, cleaning, inspection, and minor lubrication tasks as requiredFollow manufacturing best practices implemented within the department, such as equipment center lining, visualization, and 6S. Make recommendation to the processOperate forklifts as requiredUtilize lean manufacturing methodologies in daily standard work to drive improvements in safety, quality, and overall line performanceAssist other operators and departments in training, repair work and equipment operation as neededTolerate summer/winter temperature conditions and hot and cold room environmentsMust work and clean in confined space areas such as pasteurizer after a full permitting procedure is completedWhat Ingredients You'll Bring:Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma and applicable technical knowledge requiredAbility to build and maintain positive working relationships with all team peers and customersMust be available to support shift, weekend and holiday schedules as requiredGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environmentSelf-starter, proactiveDemonstrated ability to be successful in a collaborative team environment.Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a "get-it-done, can-do" attitudeProficient with Computer systems and automated equipmentMust be able to learn and accurately utilize company systems; operate computers and automated equipment and input data as requiredAbility to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formsMust be able to work assigned shifts as neededAbility to lift up to 60 lbs repetitively throughout the shiftBe able to stand, twist, and bend as required for 90% of work scheduleWork overtime as needed; which may require 12 hour days, nights, weekends, and holidaysSome Perks:Our people are our most important "ingredient."
