Job Description:
The Clinician is primarily responsible for oversight and
coordination of clinical services offered to assigned clients,
including the provision of individual, group and family
therapy.Unlicensed, LSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFTJob Duties / Essential
Functions
1. Within assigned caseload, provide clinical services and
individual, group and family therapy using appropriate approaches,
techniques and interventions.2. Participate in treatment planning,
discharge and aftercare planning.3. Complete timely, effective and
accurate documentation including, but not limited to
biopsychosocial and safety assessments, QA, chart review and
utilization review.4. Make sound clinical decisions and judgments
while advocating for client needs.5. Maintain regular communication
with internal and external customers and provide psychoeducation as
necessary to appropriate customers.6. Co-manage the therapeutic
environment by working with treatment team members to ensure the
coordinated treatment and care of clients; Recommend program and
treatment strategies and consult on client issues.7. Assist in the
performance and/or observation of restraints as necessary when
ordered by a licensed professional using the current approved
restraint methodology on youth who may weigh in excess of 250
pounds and who are physically threatening or otherwise presenting a
threat to themselves or others.8. Maintain awareness of the
continuum of services and actively promote the internal transfer
and referral of children and families whenever clinically indicated
by attending bi-annual training on the continuum and communicating
with associates between levels of care and actively seeking
opportunities to share information about the continuum with
consumers as evidenced by written documentation in the client
record.9. Perform all program or state specific job duties as
assigned.Competencies:1. Clinical: Maintains clinical knowledge
appropriate to caseload, including, but not limited to establishing
therapeutic relationships, termination issues, psychopathology, and
medications. Also able to plan, implement and document effective
treatment through various modalities, including individual, group
and family therapy.2. Communication: Able to give clear
information, orally and in writing; listen effectively; negotiate;
and obtain unbiased information. Able to complete written
communication requirements including, but not limited to case
planning and behavior modification planning.3. Customer Service:
Able to effectively liaison with internal and external customers
and interact with a professional, personal demeanor.4. Time
Management: Able to establish priorities for successful and timely
completion of work responsibilities.5. Teamwork: Able to organize
the area of responsibility, form teams to accomplish tasks,
identify opportunities to work with others, and create a
harmonious, productive work environment. Able to establish
professional role boundaries, to include setting limits with
clients, co-workers and customers.6. Interdepartmental Cooperation:
Able to form working relationships with others outside the area of
responsibility, analyze problem areas or areas of potential
cooperation, and work effectively on common concerns.7. Compliance:
Understands and rigorously follows all of the compliance policies
and procedures.8. Restraint: Able to assist in the performance
and/or observation of all aspects of a restraint using the current
approved restraint methodology on youth who may weigh in excess of
250 pounds and who are physically threatening or otherwise
presenting a threat to themselves or others.Qualifications
(Education, Training and Experiences)1. Master's Degree in Social
Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services or related field
required. License eligible required. As well as currently
licensed.2. Valid driver's license required.3. Must be at least 21
years of age.4. SCM certification, observer status required. SCM
Level 1 or 2, strongly preferred.5. CPR/First Aid certification
required.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsThese are
physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically

for extended periods of time with some exposure to environmental
conditions.2. Must be able to be trained and certified to observe
current approved restraint methodology and have the ability to
observe all aspects of restraint procedures on youth who may weigh
in excess of 250 pounds and are physically threatening or otherwise
presenting a threat to themselves or others. Additional
certification levels may be obtained per request.3. Must have the
ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, flexible hours and
overtime as required.4. Must be able to receive and give detailed
information through verbal and written communication. Must be
proficient in the English language.5. Works around socially and
emotionally disturbed clients.6. Must be able to walk, sit and
stand for moderate periods of time.7. Must have the ability to work
with hands and have manual dexterity for clerical activities such
as typing and filing for moderate periods of time.8. Must have the
ability to move in excess of 100 pounds through lifting and have
the ability to push or pull in excess of 250 pounds.9. Ability to
balance, climb, crouch, feel, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, stoop
and reach above shoulder level.
