Job Description:
Homemaker-Health Aides provide hands-on personal care to the
ill, disabled, and/or handicapped individual in addition to
providing a clean, healthy environment for clients and their
families. Homemaker-Health Aides are supervised on a day-to-day
basis by both the Coordinator of Services and the Director of
Homemaker-Health Aides. They are annually evaluated by the Director
of Homemaker-Health Aides. Homemakers on a flexible schedule
without full benefits specify the hours that they are available to
work. Two weeks notice is required for a change in hours and
availability. The program will fit the hours a worker is available
into the needs for service by consumers. In exchange for
flexibility in hours worked, these workers do not receive paid
vacation, holidays, or paid medical insurance but do partake in
some of the other benefits offered to employees. Exact benefits are
specified at the time of hire. Homemakers will adhere to the
Trauma-informed Care principles practiced by the
Agency.Required
