Job Summary:#REMOTE OPPORTUNITY## BONUS UP TO $5,000.00 Incumbent is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a coding and reimbursement quality management plan for assigned area of responsibility at the network level . Responsible for training and education of coding and clinical staff. Serves as a Coding Resource for the organization. The output of the HIM Coding Department is used for financial and billing purposes, to meet licensure requirements, network quality initiatives, for statistics, and for public hospital and physician reporting. Areas of responsibility may include either inpatient or outpatient facility coding or a variety of provider based services. Minimum Requirements:#Associates Degree or work experience in a complex coding environment equivalent to Associates Degree. AHIMA/AAPC coding certification required. 4#years experience in coding/abstracting of complex patient encounters required. As applicable to role assigned (either hospital based or provider based venue) - expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCs/CPT, modifiers, charge applications, and reimbursement methodologies (DRG, APC, or wRVUs). Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, regulatory agency requirements, severity of illness classification, and health care statistics computation. Strong PC and Microsoft Office Skills. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills and excellent communication and presentation skills required Preferred Qualifications:#Bachelor#s Degree preferred Licensure and Certifications:#AHIMA or AAPC credential #LI-ML1
