Job Description Job Summary : Overall manufacturing of all wet
benches and support equipment including design, layout and plumbing
connections in accordance with blueprint specifications.
Documentation of product status as it relates to shortages,
corrections, changes, customer requests and scheduling. Interact
with Engineering, Production Control and Manufacturing Departments.
Perform modifications or retrofits to accommodate any malfunctions
or changes after the bench or support equipment has left the
cleanroom production area. MOST WORK IS PERFORMED IN A CLEAN ROOM
ENVIRONMENT THAT IS CLEAN AND AIR CONDITIONED. ALL TOOLS NEEDED FOR
JOB ARE PROVIDED BY THE COMPANY FIRST AND SECOND SHIFT POSITIONS
AVAILABLE. STANDARD WORK WEEK IS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, WITH
POSSIBLE WEEKEND OVERTIME. GENEROUS PAID TIME OFF: UP TO 3 WEEKS
POSSIBLE IN THE FIRST YEAR, IN ADDITION TO OBSERVED HOLIDAYS!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Prepares bench and support
equipment by unwrapping, cleaning and inspecting all modules and
parts. Reviews pick sheets for shortages and documents for reorder.
Reviews blueprints for inconsistencies, errors, or changes not yet
documented. Welds polypropylene plastic Drills and taps holes as
necessary to anchor components within the bench. Measures, cuts,
flares, bonds, and installs PFA tubing. Check off Quality
Inspection Procedure before turning over to next department.
Maintains adequate inventory of all tools, wipes, solvents, parts
containers, work tables, carts, etc. Performs modifications or
retrofits with respect to engineering changes or customer requests.
Assist facilities department with plumbing related problems or
inquiries. Requirements : Plumbing and mechanical experience
required Ability to read blueprints and flow diagrams a plus Able
to layout plumbing lines and components in a confined area Must
have mathematical skills and be able to read a tape measure and do
simple math problems Mechanical skills a plus Ability to read
electrical and mechanical schematics a plus Able to use hand tools
such as drills, taps, tape measures, flaring tools Electrical
wiring, test and troubleshooting skills Able to weld plastic a plus
