Job Description:

Job purpose: To assist Sanitation Manager in assuring established SOP's are followed, documented cleaning occurs daily, cleaning was effective and done in a timely fashion. Assure master sanitation schedule is up to date.Key responsibilities:Make sure all food, packaging and plant supplies (gloves, aprons, etc) are removed from rooms prior to cleaning.Inspect equipment once each room is cleaned to assure cleaning was effective (visual, touch). Review findings with Sanitor(s) that cleaned area. Spot check with ATP swabs.Oversee that all trash is properly disposed at the end of day and recycling trash is stored in designated area.Assists Sanitation Manager in deploying the Sanitors as areas become available for Sanitation and overseeing their progress, as well as making sure documentation is properly filled out.Review daily any issues found to Sanitation Manager.Supervise other employees who carry out jobs in cleaning and sanitation.Audit that sanitation procedures are correctly followed as outlined in SOP's.Know all sanitation managers duties to fill in as backup for vacations.Verify cleaning effectiveness throughout the day.Physically train employees on proper cleaning procedures. Actually do the cleaning with them so they fully understand the process. Make sure they understand what machine parts cannot be sprayed down and should be covered.Perform chemical titration as required.Order supplies and chemicals as needed and store after receiving.Maintain that uniform lockers are filled.Approve invoices in Sanitation Managers absence.Schedule waste removal, pickups and other services including; floor waxing, carpet shampooing and truck/building exterior washing.Food Safety ResponsibilitiesPrepare and assemble equipment and personnel protective equipment used in cleaning and sanitation duties.Supervise other employees who carry out jobs in cleaning and sanitation.Responsible to implement SOP's and established standards of effective cleaning and sanitation to assure all equipment is properly cleaned.Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.Competitive starting pay and benefits package available after 60 days of employment.Aldon Food Corporation is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
