Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Job Overview We are looking for
a motivated individual to pick up Carbon Dioxide Monday through
Friday from our sites in Manhattan and to deliver to our storage
facility in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The daily routine starts at 6 am
from Flatbush and drives to two pick up sites in Manhattan. The
truck will return to Flatbush and be offloaded at our storage
facility. Some system maintenance will be required at the storage
facility. Our delivery truck is maintained and stored in a
commercial trucking facility located near our storage facility. The
workday is typically completed by 3 PM. Other functions include
performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting
deficiencies and ensuring that all safety items are in good working
order, and maintaining a neat, clean, and professional personal and
vehicle appearance. Experience/Requirements CO2 delivery driver
requirements are a CDL (Class A or B) with Tanker and HazMat
endorsements, a clean driving record (few accidents/citations), 1
year of driving experience, ability to meet DOT physical standards,
strong customer service, and knowledge of handling hazardous
compressed gases. We will accept individuals without previous
driving experience and pay for the right individual to attend
Professional CDL Driving school and to achieve the required
endorsements. Licensing & Experience Commercial Driver's License
(CDL): Class A or B is common, depending on the truck.
Endorsements: Tanker (N) and Hazardous Materials (H) endorsement is
required. Experience: At least 1-2 years of driving experience
isrequested, though driving school experience might count. We will
pay to train an inexperienced driver to achieve proper
certification. Manual Shift experience is required Safety & Record
Driving Record: A solid, safe record with minimal at-fault
accidents or citations in the past few years. DOT Compliance: Must
meet all Department of Transportation physical and regulatory
standards. Hazardous Materials: Familiarity and training with
handling compressed gases (like CO2) is critical. Skills & Physical
Abilities Customer Service: Excellent communication,
problem-solving, and interpersonal skills for dealing with clients.
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks like climbing,
kneeling, pushing, pulling, and working outdoors in various
temperatures. Attention to Detail: For pre/post-trip inspections,
paperwork, and route management. Basic Computer Skills: For routing
or documentation. Other Requirements Age: 21 years or older.
Education: High school diploma or GED is often needed. Work Ethic:
Self-motivated, reliable, and willing to work overtime or
occasional weekends. RESPONSIBILITIES Inspect vehicles before and
after use according to DOT and company maintenance checklists.
Unload Microbulk tanks and fill CarbonQuest Storage tanks at our
Purification plant. Assist with system installations. Maintain DOT
vehicle documents, ensuring that they are properly completed.
Assure the route truck remains in proper and safe working order and
that routine and required maintenance occurs on a timely basis.
Comply with all Federal, State and local laws regulating safe
driving and the safe and proper handling of hazardous materials.
Perform any other duties CarbonQuest assigns. Company Description
