Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste management in the Northeast U.S., is seeking a dedicated Overnight Waste Collection CDL Driver who is committed to environmental sustainability and quality service. This position plays a crucial role in our operations as it involves the responsible collection and transport of waste materials to designated facilities during overnight hours. As an overnight driver, you will ensure that services are performed efficiently and in compliance with all safety and regulatory measures. Operate waste collection vehicles with adherence to route schedules and within local traffic laws. Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and report any issues or maintenance needs. Collect, load, and unload waste and recycling materials from commercial and residential areas. Maintain accurate records of material collected and communicate effectively with dispatch and management teams. Follow health and safety policies and procedures related to waste collection and vehicle operation. Provide excellent service to customers and address any onsite concerns within company guidelines. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with clean driving record. Knowledge of truck operating guidelines and weight restrictions. Ability to navigate local routes and adjust to schedule changes as necessary. Physical stamina and strength required for loading and unloading materials. Effective communication and customer service skills. Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
