Job Description:
The Nurse Residency at Encompass Health Corporation provides an
unparalleled opportunity for recent nursing graduates to gain
hands-on experience and training in both facility-based and
home-based patient care settings. Our program is designed to bridge
the gap between academic training and real-world demands in
healthcare. As a part of our team, you'll work in our network of
inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies, and
hospice agencies, developing professional skills in a supportive
and dynamic environment. Through structured rotations, mentorship,
and ongoing professional development, residents will advance their
knowledge in patient care, complex case management, and
interdisciplinary collaboration, equipping them for a successful
long-term career in nursing. Provide direct and comprehensive
nursing care to patients in both facility-based and home-based
settings. Participate in rotations across different departments and
care settings to develop broad clinical skills. Collaborate with
healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient
care plans. Engage in ongoing educational workshops and training
sessions to enhance professional growth and understanding of
complex healthcare conditions. Manage case documentation and
maintain high standards of patient confidentiality and care.
Contribute to a team-oriented environment that supports the
wellbeing and recovery of patients. Strong clinical skills and
knowledge of healthcare protocols. Ability to adapt to diverse
healthcare environments and patient needs. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with health care
teams. Capability to manage time effectively and make informed
decisions under pressure. Proficient in using medical software for
patient management and documentation. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license
required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
