find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Allentown, Pennsylvania,
18103! Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Surgical Intensive Care
Unit – Pennsylvania Start Date: February 16, 2026 Location:
Allentown, Pennsylvania Compensation: Details provided to qualified
applicants Schedule: 12-hour shifts with nurse-to-patient ratio of
1:4-6 (days and nights); every weekend and every other holiday
required; floating required as needed Highlights: Specialty NICHE
unit focused on adult and geriatric trauma care with overflow for
pediatrics, orthopedic, burn, and surgical patients 30-bed unit
including a 4-bed low-level monitoring room Epic charting system in
use Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical
therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid
response teams Local travelers accepted at differential rate
(50-mile radius applies) Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience
strongly preferred Requirements: Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN
license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of nursing
experience required Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
Epic charting system experience required Competencies required:
Blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, CVA care,
heparin protocols, dysrhythmia interpretation and management,
tracheostomy care and management, orthopedic trauma, pre/post
neurosurgery care, spinal cord injury management, traumatic brain
injury care, wound care/wound vac, and PICC line management Flu
vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Pennsylvania state fingerprinting and background clearance required
