Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity ICU unit. The RN will be responsible for caring for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular surgeries, including fresh open-heart cases on post-op day zero. Candidates must be confident, clinically skilled, and experienced with EPIC charting in an acute care environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients. - Manage fresh open-heart cases on post-op day zero. - Monitor and operate advanced life support equipment (e.g., ventilators, cardiac monitors). - Administer medications and assess responses. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. - Document care and interventions using EPIC EMR. Required Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or CTICU experience. - BSN Required. - Current and active New York State RN license. - Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA-approved). - Proficiency with EPIC charting system.
