Coordinator for the dental vans is responsible for the efficient
operation of the mobile dental vans and the day to day functions of
both vans. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
ensuring a comprehensive patient scheduling system exists,
assisting the dental director with coordinating of staff
scheduling/vacation requests/sick call out, coordinate an accurate
charge/billing process (ensuring claims in Dentrix are correct),
oversee the van registration/billing process (includes the
collection and data entry of all patient information into Dentrix)
and ensuring program compliance with all regulatory standards.
Fifty percent of this employee's time will be directly in the
community, supervising the operation and coordinating the care for
the patients being seen each day at the individual site. This
individual will be responsible for the collection, recording and
reporting of all patient data needed for both vans; daily visits,
patients seen, sites serviced etc.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sitting up to eight hours per day, up to six hours at a time,
frequent use of the hands/fingers for data entry seeing as it
relates to normal and peripheral vision. Hearing and speaking as it
relates to normal conversation and telephone use.
EDUCATION:
High School graduate or equivalent required.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
(dental office setting). General computer experience with data
entry skills required. Knowledge of dental terminology strongly
preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and English.
