Job Summary: Coordinates efforts related to clinical pharmacy
initiatives. Provides support to the Therapeutics Committee in
areas related to formulary management, medication use, and
regulatory initiatives. Monitors and assesses the activity of the
Clinical Staff Pharmacists, residents, and/or students and plays an
active role in their ongoing development. Completes drug
information requests and participates in educational efforts
related to medication use. Identifies, organizes, and completes
performance improvement projects related to medication use.
Education - Required:
+ Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy or
+ Doctorate Pharmacy
Experience - Required:
+ 1 year Pharmacist experience or
+ 1 year PGY-1 Residency
Experience - Preferred:
+ 5 years Relevant pharmacist experience or
+ 2 years PGY-1 and PGY-2 Residency
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
+ Ability to accurately dispense and/or monitor medications.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
+ Ability to make independent judgments under stressful situations
+ Knowledge of laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
related to the distribution and control of scheduled and
non-scheduled drugs and pharmacy security.
Licensure - Required:
+ Registered Pharmacist
Licensure - Preferred:
+ BCPS - Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist or other BPS
certification Upon Hire
