Job Description:
Job Summary:Provides care under the direction and supervision of
a physical therapist. Teaches patients exercise for mobility,
strength, and coordination; trains on activities such as walking
with crutches, canes, or walkers; teaches massage; demonstrates the
use of physical agents and electrotherapy such as ultrasound and
electrical stimulation. Measures changes in the patient's
performance as a result of the physical therapy provided.Education
- Required:Associate's Degree in physical therapy
assisting.Education - Preferred:Associate's Degree successful
completion of clinical affiliations as required for completion of
PTA curriculum.Experience - Required:Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities - Required:Ability to train and mentor others.Ability to
work at various locations per diem.Must be able to provide safe,
compassionate, and competent physical therapy treatments.Licensure
- Required:Physical Therapist Assistant Upon Hire andDrivers
License Required for Homecare/Hospice/Home based outpatient
positions. Upon HireCertifications - Required:CPR - Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation LS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire andHealth Services
BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon HireAdditional Qualifications:Must
have current auto insurance at PA state minimum required levels
(specific to Homecare/Hospice/Home-based Outpatient positions).
