About The Role:

As a CBRE VAS Business Development Director, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing local and regional business marketing and development strategies. This job is part of the Sales function, dedicated to the Valuation and Advisory Services (VAS) line of business. They are responsible for the design of sales solutions that are presented and sold to potential, new, and existing clients. This role reports to both the business line leader and the CBRE Global Head of Sales for VAS.

What You'll Do:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key collaborators. These include business leaders, the CBRE Operational platform, and potential customers.
  • Partner with clients on their business goals and objectives. Work together to identify new business opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic direction toward the creation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
  • Partner with Business Operations teams to measure operational and financial goals for client accounts.
  • Drive the execution and use of our CRM in support of our client intel, bid & pursuit tracking activities.
  • Apply a robust knowledge of multiple subject areas, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
  • Model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Communicate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.
  • Identify and resolve multi-dimensional, operational, and organizational problems using the appropriate resources within or outside the department.

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred with minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Real Estate license ideal.
    • Experience and domain knowledge within the Real Estate Fund, Investment Management, REIT, and Property Development spaces is highly regarded.
    • Experience in Valuation methodology and Discounted Cashflow utilization in the context of engaging with Real Estate Funds and Investors.
    • An understanding of institutional real estate clients and portfolio analysis.
    • Ability to exchange of complicated and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
    • Leadership skills to set and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

      CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the VAS Business Development Director position is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for the VAS Business Development Director position is $160,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
