Responsibilities
Primary Responsibility:Work directly with Director of Inventory
Control, Operations Leadership and Corporate teams to ensure we are
in compliance to all inventory control practices, bring best
practices across the entire network and use data analytics to
identify and drive improvements. Essential Functions:• Monitor and
evaluate the inventory counts and transactions for multiple
warehouses a quarterly or as needed to ensure accuracy, validity,
and promote cohesiveness.• Support the implementation of and
compliance of the Inventory Best Practices SOP to ensure• Ensure
compliance to Company and Customer Food Safety requirements around
Hard Hold and Quality Hold inventory.• Perform internal audits to
ensure the company policies and standard operating procedures on
inventory control are being observed and properly executed; these
facility visits must be in depth and include a review of inventory
control practices including but not limited to: cycle counting
procedures, record-keeping, the follow-up on missing/damaged cases,
adjustments, segregation of duties; partner with site Management
and inventory owners to develop and implement recommendations.•
Review Key Performance Indicators and utilize other measurement
tools on a daily/weekly basis to ensure that operational,
financial, employee and service controls are in place.• Provide
support and help in developing the inventory control supervisors,
managers and hourly associates in a designated area or region if
required. Ensure corporate initiatives are implemented across all
sites.• Maintain visibility within the customer base and assist in
serving as a resource for the company in customer dealings within
an area or region.• Support un-paralleled world class service and
operational inventory metrics.• Challenge the status quo and find
ways to drive innovation in order to enhance operational
efficiencies.• Maintain visibility with General Managers in
designated area or region.• Other inventory duties as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor's degree in business,
logistics or management preferred• 3 to 5 years in warehousing
and/or logistics management experience along with Inventory Control
is a must.Knowledge & Employment Standards:• Good communication
skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate
with all levels of the business. • Advanced experienced with
Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.• Familiar with WMS, SAP
and RF required• Excellent organizational skills and attention to
detail.• Acts with a flexible, team and goal-oriented approach. •
Demonstrates uncompromising level of integrity and code of ethics.
• Ability to interpret HR regulations, safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. • Must have very
strong customer service orientation with high sense of urgency in
meeting objectives and deadlines. • Must have a working knowledge
of inventory control practices and standard warehouse operations.
Demonstrate a high-level of flexibility and recognize priorities
and criticality of tasks.• Ability to work in fast-paced,
deadline-oriented environment. • Strong analytical skills and
ability to dissect data to identify trends, errors, and impact of
inventory and operational activity; ability to communicate result.•
Receptive to management development suggestions and willing to seek
additional knowledge to facilitate job growth.• Must be able to
travel up to 50% of the time.Physical Requirements & Abilities:The
