The Assistant Security Manager reports to the Sr. Director of Security and Equity and will manage the day to day security operations for the assigned health center. The Assistant Security Manager will play an integral role in ensuring the safety and security of employees, contractors, visitors, guests and company property.The Assistant Security Manager based in either Reading or Allentown will travel between both locations on a weekly basis.Essential Functions:

  • Oversee a team of security specialist; must be able to ensure that security operations and guard force is performing all required tasks in accordance with defined policies, standards, and security best practices
  • Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Security and Equity, provide training to staff during new hire orientation.
  • Provide Security related training to assigned centers (ex: active shooter, de-escalation, security system training, etc.)
  • Conduct daily virtual security surveillance of all locations.
  • Collect and create monthly security reporting one pager.
  • Patrol Health Center and grounds to detect possible threats, unauthorized persons/vehicles, suspicious packages or damage to property
  • Respond to any incidents that occur during the shift, ensuring appropriate action is taken, all reports are properly completed, and appropriate parties are notified in a timely manner
  • Write detailed and accurate incident reports during the shift, including notation of any unusual activities and how issues were resolved; Preparing Daily Activity Reports (DAR) in accordance with established procedures
  • Monitoring alarms and video equipment including fire alarms, door alarms, and duress alarms; dispatching police, fire and EMS personnel, as required
  • Assist with building emergencies such as evacuations, fire alarms to ensure the safety of all
  • Monitor movement of visitors and assure visitors entering the building are authorized
  • Enforce the security rules and policies of the building
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Sr. Director of Security and Equity
  • Serve as an Ambassador for the organization to inspire support and connection with the mission and services provided by the affiliate
  • Ensure completion of required annual training
  • Adhere to all HIPAA and patient privacy regulationsMinimum Qualification & Education:
    • Associate's Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
    • 3 - 5 years of experience with progressive responsibility in the security industry(ies).
    • Willingness to travel. Reliable means of transportation
    • Ability to travel regionally as much as 80%, mileage reimbursement will be provided according to policy
    • Technical competence, particularly in video management and alarm monitoring systems, with a strong understanding of security operations.
