Director Learning & Organizational Development FEATURED Good Shepherd Rehabilitation -- Allentown Rehab Hospital Allentown , PA Full Time (40 hrs/wk) , Day Shift - 8 hours , 8:00AM - 5:00PM JOB SUMMARY The Director of Learning and Organizational Development is accountable for Good Shepherd's talent management and leadership development services and programs. S/he will play a strategic role in aligning talent management and leadership development with business plans and operations. This alignment and planning supports Good Shepherd's position to attract, motivate, develop, and retain best-in-class talent. S/he must serve as a relationship builder and will partner with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and leaders across the Good Shepherd organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Talent Management Serve as an advisor and technical expert regarding talent management to leaders across Good Shepherd including the development and implementation of competencies, performance management, talent dialogues, and succession planning. Align internal talent conversations with internal/external recruitment and promotions, development planning, and other talent management related services - partnering with the Director Employee Life Cycle & Talent Acquisition team. In coordination with human resources leaders, facilitate the annual talent management process across the organization. Build and develop competency models and facilitate implementation and acceptance throughout the organization. Ensure that appropriate tools and resources are in place to meet organizational needs. Leadership Development Partner with Good Shepherd leadership to assess need. Identify, develop, and implement leadership practice learning strategy and tactics as needed for the advancement of Good Shepherd staff and leaders' learning needs, while coordinating all implementation communication with other Good Shepherd Growth and Learning programs and HR initiatives. Oversee the development and implementation of leadership development services and programs within Good Shepherd's talent and leadership programs. Design and maintain leadership practice development outcomes evaluations. Develop and maintain leadership development competency models. Manage all aspects of vendor partnerships and contracts as they relate to leadership practice development initiatives. In partnership with the CHRO and leaders across Good Shepherd, including the Director, Employee Life Cycle, assist with design and onboarding of newly hired or promoted managers and senior leaders. Provide one-on-one coaching to senior staff, managers and emerging leaders to support management effectiveness and leadership development. Workforce Development Build overarching 1-5-year strategic plan for workforce development at Good Shepherd. Build tools, resources and offerings to develop the front-line workforce. Identify and build the future skills needed for key and critical roles including IDPs Develop and Coordinate summer internship programs. Manage tools and resources for bringing new employees into the organization. Build robust career center to help employees throughout Good Shepherd to architect long, robust careers. Build and execute targeted workforce strategies for high-profile, in demand roles. Build and promote pipeline programs. Strategic Planning Build strategic priorities for development planning for next three to five years. Lead the design for all development planning efforts, including training, tools and resources. Monitor the development of key talent by ensuring that development plans are in place and achieved, while ensuring readiness for next likely assignment. Identify and build strategy around key identified talent needs. QUALIFICATIONS:-- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in OD or a similar field is preferred.-- Work Experience Five or more years of experience in developing and managing a talent program within a complex organization is required.
