Job Description:

Community Options, Inc.--is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 10 states.-- Community Options is looking to hire a Residential Director in Allentown, PA who can administer the agency's licensed residential community homes for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals. The director will manage the company's growing team and oversee daily and long-term operations. The director will ensure all agency sites are in compliance with PA Code Chapter 6400 and 6100 Regulations. Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in Residential IDD programs
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Supervisory role.
• Knowledge and understanding of local regulatory agency operations and a commitment to community based support for persons with disabilities. Responsibilities:
  • Manage Program Manager(s) and Staffing Coordinator(s), including: hiring, staff evaluations, employee relations and documentation, monitoring and scheduling required staff training, seminars, and conferences.
  • Monitor the health and medical needs, completes and tracks required medical documentation and ensures follow up is completed.
  • Responsible for monitoring and scheduling house and vehicle maintenance and tracking associated expenses to the Region and National offices.
  • Monitor fiscal, medical, personal, and ISP documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Serve as an active member of everyone's Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), which includes involvement in Individual Habilitation Plan development. Working Conditions:
    • Responsible for covering shifts, as necessary.
    • On-Call 24 hours a day, in case of an emergency, in cooperation with other management staff.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
