H&K Group, Inc., a prominent leader in the construction industry since 1968, is seeking a skilled Road Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for maintaining and repairing construction machinery and vehicles, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. The successful candidate will work closely with our operations team to keep our fleet of construction vehicles and equipment in top condition, supporting our mission to deliver superior contracting and construction services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on a variety of construction vehicles and equipment including, but not limited to, loaders, dozers, mixers, and company vehicles. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, perform oil changes, and ensure all machinery complies with safety standards. Respond to on-site mechanical failures and breakdowns. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities in accordance with safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of each repair and service performed. Collaborate with management and other team members to ensure machinery efficiency and safety. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems related to construction equipment Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license ASE Certification in Heavy Equipment or Diesel Mechanics (preferred, but not required)
