mechanical engineer to help lead some of the largest and most

Mechanical Engineer role you will be part of the Mechanical
Equipment Design (MED) team responsible for the engineering and
design activities of our large capital projects. These projects
range in sizes from -$100MM to $6BN+; include technologies such as
Gasification, CO2 sequestration, air separation, and gray, blue,
and green H2; and have execution sites that span across North
America. Reporting location is either Allentown, Pennsylvania or
Buffalo, New York.Principle accountabilities:Understanding of
overall project engineering and design execution strategy as it
pertains to static equipmentUnderstanding of project specific
instructions and procedures (if required)Coordination with internal
engineering and design resources to produce engineering
deliverables on schedule and within budgetResolution of conflicts
between disciplines and facilitation of smooth flow of
informationEffective technical coordination with Clients or
third-party representatives (as needed)Preparation of various
project reports and presentations as guided by PEM / PMCompliance
to project procedures and effective change management; raises flags
for non-compliancesClearly identify, record, and communicate
lessons learned for engineeringTracking of open actions / TQs etc.
and co-ordinates for their close outPreparation of Engineering
Close Out Specification of various non-rotating equipment including
brazed aluminum heat exchangers, V-wire screens, demisters.Review
and validate supplier calculations and drawing for purchased
equipment compliance to codes and specifications.Vendor inspections
and construction/start-up support may be required which include
trips to vendors and plant locations worldwide.Support of product
development and R&D initiatives is also a requirement.Actively
collaborate with internal AP teams and external third-parties to
meet project commitments, costs, and schedules. Support equipment
and labor estimates for proposed projects and bidding
activities.Minimum proficiencies and qualifications:BS or MS in
Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 3 years of experience in the design
of pressure vessels.Registered Professional Engineer in at least
one state of the United States is a plusStrong technical skills in
the design of pressure vessels and heat exchangersStrong working
knowledge of pressure vessel and heat exchanger design codes
including ASME BPVC Section VIII, TEMA, GB, etc.Strong written and
verbal communication skillsAbility for travel to plant sites, EPC
offices, and vendor shops (expected travel up to 10%)Experience
with manufacturing design and fabrication drawingsExperience with
pressure vessel design software such as COMPRESSExperience with
stress analysis software such as AutoPIPE, Caesar, FEA etc. is
preferredExperience with Fatigue analysis or HTRI heat exchanger
design software is a plusCode Committee memberships are
desirableEPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) experience is
