manufacturing engineering role focusing on the progressive
development of key competencies related to automated manufacturing.
Ultimately responsible for the design and end-to-end development of
new automated assembly equipment for medical device manufacturing
in Allentown, PA. Using a developed understanding of existing
product portfolio and manufacturing methods, continually improve
the development and manufacturing processes on new automated
equipment being procured for scale-up and/or new product
manufacturing opportunities. Responsibilities: Essential
DutiesCoordinates and aids in the design, evaluation, planning,
integration, testing and completion activities in engineering
projects. Provides technical direction and guidance to professional
and/or sub professional personnel. Supervises the preparation and
maintenance of records pertaining to job expenditures, budget
programs, work order balances, requests for change orders, progress
pay and final estimates on contracts.May prepare specifications and
related contract documents to be used in advertising projects for
bids. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support
deficiencies.Gathers and correlates engineering data.Performs
various tests and documents results.Progressive Competencies
developed in this role:Automated manufacturing methods and
technologies for various manufacturing processes, including:
ultrasonic weldingmaterial feeding, loading, & transferconveyance
and indexingin-process vision inspectionin-process air testing
(flow, crack, pressure)bonding (solvent, glue, heat stake)Joining,
pressing, screwingEquipment sustainability within the Allentown
manufacturing facility, to more effectively design and develop new
equipment for robustness.Improvements to overall equipment
effectiveness (OEE). Development and execution of process
verification/validation through engineering testing.Causes and
effects of the three OEE loss categories: availability, quality,
and performance.Machine design, project management, and lean
manufacturing.Data analytics, statistical analysis, statistical
process control, SCADA/historian, and process trending.Equipment
qualification processes: FAT, SAT, IQ OQ, PQ.Automated controls
systems, PLCs, and ladder logic.Engineering documentation related
to FDA and medical device quality systems.Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD,
and SolidWorks. The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall

from time to time. Expertise: Knowledge & Skills Requires basic
knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in
professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts

task.Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day
problems.Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads,

contractors/vendors. QualificationsExpertise: Qualifications
-Education/Experience/Training/Etc Required:Bachelor's degree
required or equivalent combination of education and experience.0-02
years related experience required.Applicable industry/professional
