Job Description Job Description High School Special Education English Teacher Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a Special Education English Teacher to join a dedicated team in Fort Washington, PA. This specialized program that provides a supportive, individualized environment for students with emotional, behavioral, and intellectual challenges. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives in a collaborative setting and is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that meet each student where they are. Key Responsibilities Provide engaging, standards-based English Language Arts instruction for high school students receiving special education services. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with families and school teams. Differentiate instruction to address diverse learning styles, strengths, and needs. Use progress, data and feedback to guide teaching strategies and interventions. Maintain a classroom culture that promotes respect, growth, and confidence. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, English Education, or a related field. PA Special Education certification (7–12 or PK–12) preferred — PTS can assist eligible candidates in obtaining emergency certification. B ackground in English/Language Arts instruction strongly preferred. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
