Job Description:
Liro Group, a prominent firm located in Syosset, NY,
specializing in engineering, construction management,
sustainability, and technology solutions seeks a skilled Land
Surveyor. The successful candidate will engage in high-profile
construction projects, contributing to the development of
cutting-edge urban infrastructure improvements. As a Land Surveyor
at Liro Group, you will be responsible for planning, conducting,
and recording detailed surveys to establish legal boundaries for
properties, based on their geographical features, and assisting in
the planning and execution of construction projects. Prepare and
maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys
in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work
performed. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including
measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites. Direct or
conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for
properties, based on legal deeds and titles. Record the results of
surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and
dimensions of land or land features. Calculate heights, depths,
relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of
terrain. Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts,
plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys. Write
descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases,
or other legal documents. Coordinate findings with the work of
engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others
concerned with projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design
software Strong understanding of algebra, trigonometry and geometry
Experience with GPS devices, drones, robotic total stations, and
other high-tech surveying equipment Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work outdoors and stand for extended periods Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Professional Land
Surveyor (PLS) license is preferred. Membership in a professional
surveying society such as the National Society of Professional
Surveyors.
