The Front Office Coordinator performs clerical office duties, record keeping functions, receptionist duties, administrative and follow-up functions to assist in the operation of a medical office. Assists Support Staff Supervisor by overseeing other clerical staff.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates and complies with all Network and department standards on Safety, confidentiality, Service Excellence, Performance Improvement, Financial responsibility, attendance and dress code, and competency in patient assessment.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service working with patients both over the phone and in-person.
  • Maintains high level of competence on clerical responsibilities on an electronic medical record system, with ability to complete all font desk responsibilities.
  • Implement and monitor procedures to improve front office operation in coordination with Support Staff Supervisor.
  • Prepares and maintain clerical staff and provider schedules.
  • Train and mentor all new clerical team members.
  • Ensure all front desk responsibilities are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Greet patients and visitors. Control patient flow within waiting area.
  • Sort, receive, and send mail as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
    PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
    Requires sitting up to eight hours per day. Continually use fingers for typing, writing, andhandling patient charts. Routinely use upper extremities; occasionally to lift items up to sopounds. Rarely pushcart with supplies up to 30 pounds. Occasionally push wheelchair withpatient weighing up to 325 pounds. Stoop, bend and reach above shoulder level regularly.Hearing required to be sharp and alert. General, near, and peripheral vision are all required.
    EDUCATION:
    High School Diploma and two years experience in similar office setting required.
    Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration or equivalent highly preferred. Please complete your application using your full legal name and current home address.
