The Fixed asset analyst is responsible for St. Luke's Health
Network fixed assets accounting, capital expenditure reporting and
assisting the Manager of Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analysis as
required. The Fixed Asset Analyst may also be involved with various
network wide initiatives that may be outside the boundaries of
their assigned entity. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the reporting of capital orders, expenditures, and
preparation of monthly statements for St Luke's University Health
Network in a timely and accurate manner
Maintains the accuracy of capital asset reporting via the Fixed
Asset system and Project Accounting software applications by
performing the following: transfer of information, reconciliation
of data bases, addition/deletion of assets, and design/maintenance
of report structures.
Determines and enters all capital-related journal entries for
accumulated depreciation, depreciation expense and accruals for
each Network entity on a monthly and annual basis.
Serve as Capital Lease Accountant, maintaining network operating
and capital lease and monthly payment schedules, including the
accompanying general ledger transactions. This includes maintaining
property rent roll.
Provides support to managers to assist with system training needs,
and supports managers during the preparation of their budgets when
necessary.
Makes recommendations regarding the development of the capital
budget, and methods to make the asset tracking and reporting
functions more efficient.
Responds to inquiries from project managers, administrators and
department managers regarding fixed assets and other
finance-related matters. Ad-hoc reports and other responsibilities
as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting up to 7 hours per day, 3 hours at a time. Continuously uses
fingers and hands for typing, data entry, etc. Uses upper
extremities to lift up to 30 pounds. Frequently stoops, bends, and
reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal
conversation and telephone.
Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision and peripheral
vision. Visual monotony when reading reports and reviewing computer
screens.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
preferred or comparable experience within a related business
field.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Three to five years financial analysis and/or fixed assets
accounting experience required. Advanced personal computer skills
including spreadsheet and report writer software. Proven
communication skills required to interact with all levels of
hospital management. Healthcare experience preferred.
